Grace presents The Day, an exhibition by Sophia Laurie.

Sophia Laurie is an artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau. Her work engages semiotics, animism and modern optimism through modes of drawing and installation. With interest in folk psychology, corporate mindfulness and theatre, Laurie’s practice excavates mildness in the aesthetics of systems of production and consumption.

Laurie's recent exhibitions include: List (Cathedral Cabinet, Melbourne, 2019); Notes to Self (Paper Anniversary, 2023); Augur of Mercury (Grace, 2024); Moritat (Performing Arts Forum, France, 2024); Strawhouse @ Envy (Envy, 2026); Kitty (Strawhouse, 2026); and Flush (Treadler, 2026).
